March 21st marks the final show with Amber Blues and the return of favorites the Bad Apples. Make sure you mark your calendar for what promises to be a true last stand of one of the greatest venues with the beautiful Berkshire Hills. In a county filled with unscrupulous scumbags who'll rip you off for any excuse, it's going to be heartbreaking to lose this gem.
The band will commemorate and showcase its efforts at a CD release party Jan. 5 at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park. Fans can expect to see surprise guests joining Amber Blues onstage, as well as new songs being performed.
Amber Blues was nominated for the Asbury Music Awards in two categories: Top Jam Band & Top Keyboard Player.
The band members said they try not to let any one person take creative control of the music, instead incorporating input from everyone. Vocals on different songs are performed by different band members, and there are a variety of instruments used to give the music a flavor all its own.
The rock band Bon Jovi has donated an autographed Celebrity Ovation guitar to raise money for local cancer patient Michelle Seamans. The guitar was signed by all four members of the band: singer Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, drummer Tico Torres and keyboardist David Bryan.
The guitar will be raffled off at a summer concert charity event and will feature live performances by local artists Howard Lee Edwards, Evolutionow, Amber Blues, Terry Little, Eric Lopez, Delayed Reaction, and...
